1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how JDF Shop LLC] ("JDF Shop," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects information about you when you use the Second Strength mobile application, our website at https://secondstrength.app, and related services (together, the "Service").

Second Strength is a fitness coaching service that provides personalized workout, strength, conditioning, and nutrition programming for adults, with an emphasis on individuals aged 40 and older. Because we help you train, some of the information we handle relates to your health and fitness. We take that responsibility seriously, and this Policy describes how we treat that information.

By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this Policy.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

Information you provide directly.

  • Account information: your name, email address, and login credentials.
  • Fitness and health information: your fitness goals, training history and experience, workout schedule and availability, and physical limitations, injuries, or health considerations you choose to share. Some of this may be considered sensitive health information.
  • Body and performance data: information such as age, sex, body metrics, and training progress that you enter or that the Service records as you train.
  • Nutrition information: dietary preferences, goals, and related details you provide.
  • Communications: the content of messages you send us (for example, support requests to [email protected]).

Information collected automatically.

  • Usage data: how you interact with the Service, features used, sessions, and adaptive adjustments to your plans.
  • Device and technical data: device type, operating system, app version, language settings, and general diagnostic information.
  • Approximate location: derived from your IP address or region settings (we do not collect precise GPS location unless you grant permission and a feature requires it).

Information from third parties.

  • App Store purchase data: confirmation that a subscription was purchased and its status, received from the Apple App Store or Google Play. We do not receive your full payment card details — payments are handled by the App Stores.

We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. The Service is intended only for adults.

3. Sensitive Health and Fitness Data

Some information you provide — such as injuries, physical limitations, hormonal or recovery considerations, body metrics, and health goals — may qualify as sensitive personal information under laws such as the GDPR and certain U.S. state privacy laws.

  • We collect this information only to provide and personalize the Service — for example, to generate training and nutrition programs appropriate for your body and to adapt them safely over time.
  • Where required by law, we rely on your consent to process this sensitive information, and you may withdraw that consent at any time (though doing so may limit our ability to provide a personalized Service).
  • We do not sell your health or fitness information, and we do not use it for advertising.
  • We are not a HIPAA-covered entity, and the Service is not a medical or healthcare provider. The information you provide is not medical-record information governed by HIPAA.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • create and manage your account;
  • generate, personalize, and adapt your workout, conditioning, and nutrition programs, including through AI-powered coaching;
  • track your progress and adjust your plans over time;
  • process and validate subscriptions purchased through the App Stores;
  • respond to your questions and provide customer support;
  • maintain, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the Service;
  • send you service-related communications (such as account, security, or important program updates);
  • send you marketing or promotional messages where permitted, from which you can opt out at any time; and
  • comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

We process your information based on: performance of our contract with you (to provide the Service), your consent (for sensitive data and marketing), our legitimate interests (to secure and improve the Service), and compliance with legal obligations.

5. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as described below:

  • Service providers. We share information with vendors who help us operate the Service under confidentiality obligations, such as cloud hosting and storage providers, content-delivery/image-hosting providers (for example, filesafe.space), AI/processing providers that help generate coaching, analytics providers, and customer-support tools. These providers may process your information only on our behalf and instructions.
  • App Stores and payment processing. Apple and Google process your subscription payments and share purchase/subscription status with us. Their handling of your payment information is governed by their own privacy policies.
  • Legal and safety. We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or legal process, or where we believe disclosure is necessary to protect rights, safety, property, or to investigate fraud or security issues.
  • Business transfers. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this Policy.
  • With your direction. We share information with others when you ask us to or otherwise consent.

6. AI Processing

The Service uses artificial intelligence to generate and adapt your programs. To do this, information you provide (such as your goals, history, and limitations) may be processed by AI systems and by service providers that support those systems. We use your information for AI processing only to deliver and improve your coaching experience. We do not use your identifiable health information to train third-party AI models for unrelated purposes. AI-generated recommendations are informational and are not professional or medical advice — see our Terms of Service for the full disclaimer.

7. Data Retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, and afterward only as necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, or for legitimate business purposes. When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it. You may request deletion of your account and associated data as described in Section 9.

8. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect your information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and secure storage practices. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential.

9. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights regarding your personal information:

  • Access — request a copy of the information we hold about you;
  • Correction — request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete information;
  • Deletion — request that we delete your information;

  • Restriction/Objection — restrict or object to certain processing;
  • Withdraw consent — withdraw consent for processing that relies on consent, including for sensitive health data; and
  • Opt out of marketing — unsubscribe from promotional communications at any time.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at [email protected]. We will respond as required by applicable law and may need to verify your identity first. You will not be discriminated against for exercising your rights.

For residents of California and similar U.S. states: We do not sell or "share" (for cross-context behavioral advertising) your personal information, including sensitive personal information. You have the rights to know, delete, correct, and limit the use of sensitive personal information as described above.

By using the Service, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in these locations, subject to the safeguards described in this Policy.

12. Children's Privacy

The Service is intended for adults aged 18 and older and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with information, contact us at [email protected] and we will delete it.
